Vantage Studios, an Ubisoft company, announced more than three million copies sold during Black Flag Resynced's first week on the market. Two million of those had already been reported after day one.

The launch was heavily front-loaded

Ubisoft also reported 99,451 concurrent Steam players in the first 24 hours, calling it a franchise record on Valve's platform. That number measures simultaneous usage rather than sales and should not be added to the three-million figure, but it gives another view of how concentrated launch interest was.

By the end of week one, sales had grown by more than one million beyond the opening-day total. Ubisoft has not broken those copies down by PlayStation, Xbox and PC, or by physical and digital purchases.

The Standard Edition carries a €59.99/$59.99 recommended price, but multiplying that sticker price by three million would not produce a meaningful revenue figure. Regional pricing, retail economics, taxes and distribution vary, and Black Flag Resynced is also available through Ubisoft+.

A remake built around a proven audience

The original Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag had passed 34 million players by 2023 according to Ubisoft. Resynced returns to the same Edward Kenway story thirteen years after the original release, but it was rebuilt on the current Anvil engine rather than sold as a straightforward remaster.

Ubisoft Singapore changed combat, stealth, parkour and naval mechanics, added new story material and modernized the rendering technology. That makes the commercial bet more expensive than simply repackaging an old executable, although Ubisoft has not disclosed the development budget.

Post-launch support is already part of the sales message

The three-million announcement also highlighted Steam user reviews improving to Very Positive and confirmed a requested New Game+ mode. Ubisoft did not attach a release date or detailed rules to that feature.

Title Update 1.0.6 arrived on August 4 with bug fixes and quality-of-life changes, but no New Game+ implementation. Ubisoft has not announced a newer sales total in the material published since the July milestone.
